MY OLD HOMETOWN Damn all these streets Damn all your faces What I had of good times Empty spaces I’m not angry, I’m not mad I just want to forget you’ve been there There’s nothing left there I’m back by contingency do what I do and leave I get drunk before I’m going back… I get drunk before I go back to my old hometown Take it for granted When I said I’m gonna make it Time was short And you wouldn’t recognize me So many got stuck and upon there’s a leaf I’m a stranger Times have changed and I did not forget You’ve been there laughing at me I get drunk before I’m going back… I get drunk before I go back to my old hometown Damn these city lights Damn this old house What I had of worried times So many are gone and upon there’s a leaf And I’m still a stranger Times, they have changed and I did not forget How to dream and how to forgive I get drunk before I’m going back… I get drunk before I go back to my old hometown I get drunk before I’m going back… I get drunk before I go back to my old hometown

NOT A BAD LIFE – JUST A BAD DAY What is the pay to live without ‘em worries? Would it change? Would it go away? It is a life that slowly goes by What did you say? What did you say? This life’s an up and down This day happening now Maybe it wasn’t made for you It’s not a bad life it’s just a bad day Wait for someone new Start over new You need to rest, forget the struggle You need to rest, get off the trouble Every day you wake and long for what may come It’s been yesterday This life’s an up and down This day happening now Maybe it wasn’t made for you It’s not a bad life it’s just a bad day So, wait for someone new To start over new This life’s an up and down This day happening now Maybe it wasn’t made for you It’s not a bad life it’s just a bad day So, wait for someone new To start over new

FOLLOW YOU INTO YOUR NIGHTMARE From where’s a chain and a ball Where there’s a cage on a roll I don’t mind no smoke down on the river Mind no fire in my head Oh, what did you say? I cannot hear you shout But hear the echoes in the willow crying Cannot hear you scream I follow you in your nightmare Compassion, control Not much more, take control of my soul Oh Lord, oh would you please Have mercy on my soul? I cannot hear you shout But I can hear you crying in the willow though I cannot hear you scream I follow you in your nightmare Oh, no, no… Oh, no, no… Oh, no, no… Oh, no, no… And I follow you in your nightmare

Hold Me 03:36
HOLD ME I kind of can’t find the words Trying to explain how much it meant to me But I can’t stand this whole damned silence All the trying, fade to black Oh, hold me whiskey The whole damn smoking All that backstabbing One more day I kind of feel so hollow The more I’m buying There ain’t no word to say I hear you whispering through the window from the yard Back on to the start One more day Oh, hold me, hold me dear My sense for begging hard Keeping us so low, my heart One more day Oh, hold me, hold me dear My sense for begging hard Oh, low, my heart One more day Oh, hold me, hold me whiskey The whole damn smoking All that backstabbing One more day Can’t feel hollow My sense for begging hard Keeping low, my heart One more day Keeping low, my heart One more day

Mermaid 04:10
MERMAID My lady she’s a mermaiden a true chimera Some say a myth from the depth of the sea Made it to the peer, awful yelling Deafening screaming and women crying I was there almost in time Oh, brothers in arms. Poor brothers of mine With a bottle of rum in my hand, wait on my friend While the wind proclaims the message of the sea Telling us that we’ll never see them again And that my lady is going to take me down as well So, I kiss my siren hello and she takes me down, down home… This is why I sing no seafaring songs for my baby I don’t want to drown This is why I sing no seafaring songs for my baby I don’t want to drown, drown Down, here in the abyss, the place where she took me to with a kiss She promised me there’ll be nothing that I would miss Oh, black smokers and glowing fish What they rule, they call the shots so cruel Now I’m falling in, I feel like a fool As I asked her to bring me back to land She laughed at me and drug me deeper Holding me by my pale dead hand

THE GOOD OLD DAYS I woke up like this for so long Hoping that one day it would change But this dark melancholic dog won’t leave Keeping my heart lock in chains In dreams I can smell and I can taste I can see that certain kind of light Reminding me of the good old days It’s hard to spot a drop in a river While everything would challenge my faith And one day when I go over Jordan My tears would wash away all the pain In dreams I can go back to that place I can hear your voice and clearly see your face Longing and fading from life to the grave Wishing back those good old days Good to see you found a little luck Hard to see us gone separate ways And if there was a God, she would know I lost my heart Back then in the good old days When the past comes knocking at my door Having no news for me It makes me cry every once in a while Like the pictures I pretend I didn’t want to find In my dreams I look at myself And I can see the fire in my eyes Like I did in the good old days Good to know you found a little luck Still sometimes I feel so alone And God, she knows well my heaven turned to hell And burned my heart in the good old days Nowadays I still wake up like this I know that nothing’s ever gonna change Some things last a lifetime and they burnt To my heart and into my soul In my dreams I can smell and I can taste I can see that certain kind of light Hear your voice and clearly see your face Like I did back then in the good old days

IT IS WHAT IT IS Accept the misery… It is what it is right now… I like it when you sleep So beautiful you are and yet so unaware of it We see just what we want All the words might be the source of all misunderstanding It is what it is Fire a gun, blowing a kiss I like it when you sleep You’re so beautiful and yet so unaware of it Tell me what it is… Intense Lie to me and tell me that you love me These are the good old days Now I just sit here in silence All black everything Again, like never before It’s not me who’s crying now, It’s my soul Feelings sometimes change, memories don’t It is what it is And darling so it goes We see just what we want I cannot explain and I won’t even try No regrets and no requests… Just grind and shine Lie to me and tell me that you love me These are the good old days All black everything It is what it is All black everything All black everything

A ROUGH TIME TO GET OLD There’s a thing now that you should know I was way beyond and now I’m turning old I was chasing love and success… Well I’ve been trying Living hard now it shows its price It took all of my heart - It took all of my love I think my best days are ow (over) Hanging high and feeling low Well I think it’s a rough time to get old They wanted me wild, they got me wild They wanted me sweet, they got me sweet Now I’m here not knowing who to be While the drugs they used to work And it’s been a while They eat my time, they got me wild Really, the demons I used to call Well they got me in – They got me in And I’m here without you Say did you see it come? Now I’m here without you Look at the thing that I’ve become The thing that I’ve become Oh, the thing I have become

FALLEN FOR YOU You dug me up this grave and I thought I went to heaven I saw that shining light softly glowing I thought that I was through and then I met you You pretty angel spoke to me and crossed my way You don’t know that I have fallen You don’t know that I have fallen for you Oh, bring me down, oh bring me down. Oh, please won’t you? Your pretty smile and your pretty eyes will bring me down Begging you to stay but I’m begging you anyway to make it to heaven Shine and glow… No time for prayers, there’s no time for good and healing words No time for fire blaze You don’t know that I have fallen You don’t know that I have fallen for you Oh, bring me down, oh bring me down. Oh, please won’t you? You don’t know that I have fallen You don’t know that I have fallen for you Oh, bring me down, oh bring me down. Oh, please won’t you? Your pretty eyes will bring me down Time I rather bate but the night I do fall in. To the bottom again While I … *#%&$ȭʓʘʡ̐Ҕ؏٣⇜≛⌰⧜ You and I, you know, we could go that very far But this is no time for crying or even share You don’t know that I have fallen You don’t know that I have fallen for you Oh, bring me down, oh bring me down. Oh, please won’t you? You don’t know that I have fallen You don’t know that I have fallen for you Oh, bring me down, oh bring me down. Oh, please won’t you? Your pretty eyes will bring me down

Everything 04:01
EVERYTHING Walking home now feels like a straight line Well I’ve been walking for a long, long time Now it’s the narrow way showing the path Out of the dark and back to where I’ve left I went out on such a detour Now, I quite forgot who I am Living a life and looking in the mirror Knowing it’s a lie and I try to see clearer Coming home to you Coming home to you I forgot everything Cause you let me down Stumble through days like a messiah Looking back to all that has vanished Walk the streets homeless, broken hearted I am Realizing that nothing is ever going to be lossless I just didn’t take enough care of it I just let it slither out of sight for a tiny bit I’ll shout it out loud, shout out the truth Cause words of a liar won’t mean a damn thing to you Coming home to you Coming home to you I forgot everything Don’t let me down I don’t dare to shout out loud I don’t dare to cry out loud Forget everything Don’t let me down I don’t know anything…

THE WORDS I SAY TO YOU It took a lot of time to gather all the words I’m saying to you It takes a lot of guts to separate the hollow from the true It feels like running late when you’re catching a train standing on the empty track Desperation feeding my heart I am eager to know this time won’t come back Imagine letting go and someday settle down and build a home Saying everything is fine There were days you told me you would love me forever and ever And still I wish it was true It took a lot of strength, lost it on the way running for my will It takes a lot of conscience, takes a lot of patience, takes a lot of care To know it’s not a bad world, knowing it’s a cold world, focus on the good word Try to stay humble even when I stumbled upon too many apologies Imagine saying all the things you would have said long time ago and… Without feeling any shame And there were days you loved me and I loved you, said that I hold you and… Oh, how I wish it was true So many I’ve kissed and made love with, woke up at their sides and… Still I wish it was you Standing here and I am saying the things I should have said back then I’m not feeling any shame I thought that it would last forever and ever, till death do us part and… How I wish that it was true How I wish that it was true

How I Go On 03:59
HOW I GO ON (MY FAVORITE STAR) I hold on Looking at the whole world stealing I hold on Never mind the lonely feeling No one here would know my name Waiting on my favorite star I can say I’m alright I go on Never mind the heavy breathing For so long You do not need to know how I feel so I say I’m alright No one here would catch me falling Looking for my favorite star To make sure I’m alright I’m afraid No one loves me like you did Won’t steal it Even though it hurts me so bad I say I’m alright Never mind the wounds aren’t healing Even though my heart is bleeding I’ll say I’m alright Even though my heart is bleeding I’ll say I’m alright

Harvest 04:23
HARVEST This soil, time’s gonna move it there ain’t no friction No rule, no plan, no fiction There ain’t no such addiction This day is done by the rain and water All turning colder And I thought it is just… Like this September, November … As you told me. This will last forever, forever, forever… No bad intention, no redemption That’s what they told you to make you believe When you bring this harvest home No sleeping well, no sleeping good Sometimes we all realize that it’s not right, still we want that And we don’t wanna let it go Cause we’ve been holding on it for too long And we try to justify that everything has been contaminated And nothing’s going to be better than the way we made it And tomorrow’s only evil… Like this September, November … As you told me, this will last forever, forever, forever… No bad intention, no redemption That’s what they told you to make you believe When you bring this harvest home No sleeping well, no sleeping good And I thought that it is… Like this September, October, November All going on in misery and it started up from January Don’t like that, don’t want that, don’t see that Make me believe! Gonna last forever, forever, forever… Like this September, November … When you told me, this will last forever What they told you to make me believe No redemption, no bad intention No sleeping well, no sleeping good, no sleep at all

ROCKET THROUGH A STORM As easy as it sounds, I won’t believe a word Many tried before and most of them got lost on this trail They thought they could just play it They could just beat the rap I know that loving a woman is as easy as flying a rocket A rocket through a storm Sometimes she won’t believe you even if you scream Scream at the top, at the top of your lungs I know that loving a woman is as easy as walking on the Seas And breathe under water I know that sometimes it’s easy like moving a whole mountain Or as easy as holding a cloud with nothing but your hands As easy as reading a code, or as easy as driving blind No matter what you do, don’t get stuck in these questions of doom Oh, there is something that makes her blue (Why must you steal my heart away?) I know that loving a woman is as easy as flying a rocket A rocket through a storm Sometimes she won’t believe you even if you scream Scream at the top, at the top of your lungs I know that loving a woman is as easy as walking on the Seas Or breathe under water Sometimes it’s easy like moving a whole mountain Or as easy as catching a cloud with nothing but your hands

ME AND A DRINK Take me too far off the land Where I miss the shady lights of corner streets I won’t dare to cry but I feel like I’m beaten down By the feels and its needs To know is to believe and I believe that I would know it At least when I’m dry or cold I don’t dare to think of you My heart is fragile and sometime brighter blue Sometimes I’d like to kill you, sometimes I want to kiss you Maybe I just need to So, I hide under cover to cover up the lies As the truth is hidden in our bed How I want to forget you This damn silence that I did get so wrong Misery is coming with the day light You don’t know… I’ll make it out… Just me and a drink I know you cannot hear me You’re out doing your night’s downtown I’m already late but somehow, I cannot leave I’m tired and cuffed down To know is to believe and I believe that I would know it At least when the rain cleaned me out I know and I believe. I believe that you don’t know it At least when you see a little clearer How I want to forget you The silence that breaks us in two That got me so mad, no word you said! My heart was screaming and begging, yelling for the truth Me and a drink

Stare At You 04:22
STARE AT YOU Staring at the cold neon light Roll my eyes to the ground Stay the day or stay the night Don’t hang around to stay around And I stare at you While I stare at you one last time And you stare at me, staring, staring… Staring at me one last time But I got cold But we got weak Let us save this time is short, my dear Don’t you know when it’s gone, it’s gone Left down there, left down here Savior time, save your time And you stare at me Stare and stare at me one last time And I stare at you Staring, staring, staring at you one last time But we got cold And we got weak Daze and fly on by oh neon light Saying bye oh bye my sweetest pride And I leave this city for this Leave the city for, delight And you stare at me Staring, stare, staring at me one last time And I would stare at you Stare and stare, stare at you one last time But we got cold And we got weak And we got cold And we got weak

about

This record really means a lot to me because it represents a turning point in my life. The last 4 years were somehow dominated by bad luck, although I’m not trying to abdicate my self-responsibility. My life was always tending to be chaotic and I think that the constant noise in my head and heart kept me from noticing what was going on around me. Even though the fall and the subsequent impact were hard to take, they had a positive aspect as well… They provided room for self-reflection. I’ d dare to say “rebirth”. All the songs on “I woke up like this” are extremely personal, maybe a little too personal. On the other hand, so I think, it’s exactly that, what makes this album noteworthy.
